Sekou Doumbouya

Scouting Report

OVERVIEW
At 6-foot-9, he's still trying to figure out where he fits best on the offensive end.
He's credited with being a good enough athlete and showing nice movement for a player at his size. At 230 pounds, he can do some things that make him profiled by some as a small forward.
His ability to get up and down the court is a plus, so that's going to be something that helps him right away on the professional level.
While his offensive high end is still up for the debate, most scouts tend to see him already solid defensively. He'll attack on the defensive end, though his lack of experience is something that can cause him some trouble. He might be a candidate to be a foul-prone player until more playing time allows him to figure out some of the nuances of the game.
ANALYSIS
Doumbouya, who's from Guinea, needs more court time. That in itself would probably iron out some wrinkles.
He can go through some ragged stretches on offense. His ability to adjust after instruction would be a bonus, and it will be something that's necessary if he's going to make the climb past more seasoned players.
He's credited with appearing to be a good teammate. Some of that is related to indecisiveness and so become more asserted needs to be on his agenda.
For a team willing to be patience, Doumbouya could be an ideal fit.
Projection: Late first round
